PRESS RELEASE

A Wiltshire artist has work exhibited in a Scottish gallery from November 14, 2015 to January 31, 2016. Tanya Lock, who has had paintings shortlisted in the BBC Wildlife Artist of the Year, has embarked on a new series of still life paintings, which can be seen at EDS Gallery in Edinburgh. “I have started to paint a range of things as well as animals, and I was keen on painting glass and reflections,” explains Tanya. “When I was treated to dinner on the Orient Express many years ago, I loved it so much that I have dreamed of going on it again. I decided to paint my dream... so this is really where I wished I could travel.... the dream Orient Express... I would start in Istanbul and travel where ever the train went... So I have produced three paintings on this subject. ‘Istanbul’ is in the Orient Express Restaurant in Istanbul, then ‘Glass’ is on the train, and ‘The platform ticket’ is the person waiting at the other end.” Tanya’s paintings are exhibited in the Winter Exhibition, EDS Gallery, 13A Great King Street, Edinburgh.
